I love spring. It may even be my favourite time of the year. I'm only just working that out right now.
I think it's the feeling of vibrancy and new life in the air. It's that magic season of daily reminders that we're emerging from the brooding skies of winter, and into the sun. Each light breeze that so recently chilled you into a grey mood carries the hope of long days at the beach and road trips.
Everything just feels easier in Spring.
There's a certain kind of excitement in the air.
Even though I'm not a huge fan of floral prints in fashion, there really is no better way to embrace the essence of spring - and when said floral print happens to be in the form of this full length kimono - well, say no more people! Give me the flowers! All I need is a daisy chain on my head, bellbottoms and some weird art piece painted on my face and I'm Woodstock ready - perfect.
I love how 10 years after I used to be the weird one at school dressing like a flower-child right out of the 1960's, complete with painted denim flares, Lennon glasses, and school shirt with a Jim Morrison patch sewn over the school emblem (no, really) that it's finally 'normal'...
Trust me, if you just stick it out long enough with the whole being yourself thing, eventually the world will catch up!
